   I like InuYasha: Affections Touching Across Time (its the first InuYasha Movie) and InuYasha: Castle Beyond the Looking Glass(the second movie).

   I also like Howl’s Movie Castle, Castle in the Sky, and Nausica (not as much romance in the last two, but there still awesome. And I’m all-for romance lol)

   Voices of a Distant Star is awesome too. Its only about 30min though.

   if u havnt seen the anime Clannad i highly reccomend it. its all of these things u listed.
   the animation is awsome, the story is brilliant youll feel so many emotions. youll cry hella both sad and happy tears. its the best anime ever made.

   theres also a movie if u dont wanna watch the 50+ episodes but the movie ending is different from the anime.
   the movie is basically a 2hour summary of the anime but with a different ending. its still good but the anime is brilliant. you can watch both at animecrazy.net

   I agree Macross is a good action/romance combo, but be aware the Do You Remember Love is a movie which deviates significantly from the original series, I think its 47 episodes. Very good,I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It’s one of the original ‘transforming robot’ series, but is known best as ‘space opera’. There are several reiterations of it, the original Macross, the movie mentioned. a couple more complete series I believe [Macross Frontier and Macross 7], and multi- episode OVAs. There are many happy hours to be found in the Macross universe.

   Also there is Full Metal Panic, and its spinoff FMP: Fumoffu!. However some complain that FMP never quite becomes a real romance, the relationship of the two main characters never really gets closer than arms-length. Still a fun show!
