What are reall good fantacy or romance stories for a 13 year old?

Okay, I have no choice for summer reading so I need to read. I'm not really into the dragon and wisards kind of fantacy. I like the fantacy romance or just nothing to do with little kid stuff. I don't like series books (except for the twilight series) so don't give me series. Thanks please help!

the Night World series by L.J. Smith would be perfect for you! They’re all about fantasy romances. :) I’m thirteen as well, they’re my favourite books. They’re about vampires, witches, werewolves and shapeshifters, and you can find everything about them by searching NIGHT WORLD on Wikipedia :)))

The greatest romance ever written was written for young girls in their teens and is long enough to last all summer.
It is “Gone With The Wind”
it is set in the Civil War South and has romance, war, intrigue and famous characters that anyone will recognize if you should mention you are reading it.
It was also a movie that was a blockbuster.

One of my favorite books is Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. It’s not too tricky, you MIGHT need to look up a couple things because, unless your from asia, you won’t know what they are, but the book does a pretty good job of explaining it. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s all about this girl who grew up in a fishing village on the coast of japan. Her mother is dying and they need money so they sell her and her sister to geisha houses. (bunch of stuff happens like she tries to escape because they’re basically like servants, but then one day she is running an errand and meets this man and decides she is going to try really hard to become a geisha so she can be with him, because he’d never be with a normal person. Basically it’s about her life growing up. t’s suuuch a good book. Definitely a romance and a bit of history too but not the boring kind.

You might like A million Little Pieces by James Frey. he’s a really good writer. Basically in the novel he’s a drug addict and gets sent to rehab, and it’s all about his struggle to get better. They aren’t allowed to talk to girls but he meets this girl and they sneak around without anyone finding out. It’s really good.. he’s such an interesting writer. The sequel is called My Friend Leonard which is a continuation after he’s out of rehab… I’m reading it right now actually! I wouldn’t call it a series, there are only 2 books and you could read either one and it would be it’s own story.

Sorry, thats all I can help, I don’t really read romances at all, or even much fantasy.. Maybe you should look into some horror books?
