    THE MASTER STEVE VAI

I totally agree with you. Especially on the song Too Many Humans, you can really see that Buckethead has a lot of soul.

“smart”…what do you mean?…i used the word “suck” didn’t i?…i thought that would be something you could understand. you have a personal stake here…perhaps you could use a MegaCock..black and shiny.

    fuck you

Plain and simple. Vai is a guitar god. Anyone think otherwise needs to pull their head out of their arse.

  12. MegaJuevos

Well, its utterly and completely not themeless there guy.
Not forgettable or purposeless if you know the song. Indeed, its one long solo with a central theme/melody….and thats why people like it.
Try to be “smart” somewhere else ;)

  13. makowian

    i don’t know…like Vai…but this whole performance…kind of sucks…meandering purposeless..themeless…forgettable

  14. MegaJuevos

Well, all the sustainer does is use the 9volt to magnetically keep a draw on the string/signal. When ya hit the button, is starts to hold the note.
Remember I said theres two modes? At 8:52, its a good shot of the switch. He’s about to activate the second mode, the harmonic mode. Hear that note turn into a harmonic? OK GUYS: 6:52 is where you can see him both switching the sustainer mode AND activating it for what he’s about to do.

Thank you all ~ I’ll graciously accept apologies :P

Actually the Sustainer sound very cool indeed induce vibration feedback from the pickups rather than volume of an amp. very use full in an orchestra setting. don’t think the violins would like to compete with an overdriven amp

  16. renovate66

OK chill dude no need to be calling names. I Googled your Fernandes Sustainer you are correct… I do apologize on that actually found a picture looks like the exact same guitar being played in video built in ’99 customized with the Sustainer, No buttons just two black switches. I thought you were wrongly referring to fake sustain through a compressor or a distortion box

  17. MegaJuevos

And theres nothing wrong with using a Fernandez Sustainer. There really cool. Ive played with them before which is how I KNEW what was going on.

You kids should listen more and not assume you know everything. Theres been surpriingly few guitarists who’ve utilized the Fernandez they incredible fun.
I cant let you guys think that when he’s blowing the strings that its anything BUT a sustainer however ~ Im protecting your fragile minds

  18. MegaJuevos

It wont let me post the link ~ you need to Google FERNANDEZ SUSTAINER – look at the one form Musicians Friend it will bring up.

See the switch and the button?

Yes kids…you all have SO much to learn…

  19. MegaJuevos

Ok dummy, heres where you learn something. You ready?
At 5:02 you dumass….look. See the two black dots there?? Im sure theres a better shot in the vid guys BUT…what that is is a SWITCH and a BUTTON you moron!! Thats the sustainer. Remember the two modes I talked about?!? Thats the switch! And the button turns it on!
    Now who doesnt know shit????

  20. MegaJuevos

No kids….see the drummer he has there? That provides whats called the TEMPO ~ all those horns, violins, etc have ZERO influence over what Steve is gonna do. You all are so easily impressed. It could be a freakin drum machine and he’s gonna STILL play all the right notes cuz its “For the Love of God” ~
And yes, I do know what the hell im talking about, I perform a few times a week.
And yes, thats a Sustainer he’s using kiddos. You monkeys….the drums provide the tempo, the rest doesnt matter

  21. MegaJuevos

Im not dissing him by any means ~ but if youre a little wanna-be guitar player with no perfomance history, then I bet you think its different playing in front of an orchestra than a blues band ~ Its not kid….theres no special magic.
And NO…there isnt much a difference you little wanna be’s. ITs not any different than playing over the tracks in the stuiod for the original recording!! Its no different!
If you knew anything about performing youd know. ITS JUST A TEMPO!!

  22. renovate66

What he’s doing at 6:54 looks like he’s switching the pickup switches and at 8:53 he’s blowing on the strings. So what your point? I don’t see any proof of a Sustainer besides a sustainer works by electronical holding a note after the strings vibration has died out at which point any bending of the string or use of the whammy would have no effect yet in this video it clearly does. So i do not believe you know what your talking about

  23. nemtall

    This Is God Like preformance

  24. samanosukkia

Some of the things you said could even be right, but now you’re talkin’ bullshit.
Playin’ with an orchestra is something completely different from “jammin’ with a blues band” and i would like to point out “COMPLETELY”.

I don’t really understeand who are you tryin’ to impress with the “i’m the livin’ encyclopedia and everybody else’s talkin’ shit.”, or tryin’ to point out that you’re old and you know everything while everybody else doesn’t.
    It’s sad, really.

  25. tammymk1

magajuevos fuck off OK let’s see you do what he fuckin does then come back and correct yourself
